When I was originally injured, I was told that spinal cord injuries would more than likely be cured in ten years. Well, it's been about eight and a half years and not a heck of a lot has happened. In fact, I recently read an article where they said that they expect a cure in 10-15 years. What have they been doing for the last eight years?

I remember talking to a guy while I was living at Courage Center who told me that he had been injured for 40 years, and they had been talking about a cure ever since his injury. This guy (I forget his name) said that he spent most of his life waiting for a cure. At that point he was convinced that he had spent his entire life waiting for something that he would never see in his lifetime.

Well… I haven't spent very much time thinking about or waiting for a cure, but there are moments when I think, "What if I was cured? How would my life change?"

I had one of those moments today when I read this article. It's a very small glimmer of hope for people like me. Hopefully , if the study is successful, they are able to treat people like me and that old man I met at Courage Center who have had our injuries for a number of years.

I put a bunch of different hats on my dog and took pictures with my cell phone.

If Kelly was a person I could see him wearing this hat. He would be sitting in an Irish pub, tipping back a pint, and waiting for all the young lasses to notice his good looks. He would definitely be a good lookin' human dude.

Big Pimpin'. Does anyone hear a train comin'? What kind of train could that be. Maybe a hoooooooe train!!!!!

I got this hat about nine years ago when I made Cat 1. You don't know what Cat 1 is? My suggestion-- ask someone in spandex about it.

As a pup residing in Minnesota, a good ski cap is a necessity.

An Activa DBS hat. What, you don't know what Activa DBS is? Google it! It's some pretty wild stuff!

If it was politically to call a picture of a dog sexy. I would call this "one sexy picture." But since it's not PC, I won't.

Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

This is my klapmut. It means clap hat in Dutch. If you don't understand why the dutch would call it a lap hat, I suggest you track down that guy in spandex again.
