1. Why are do all scandals end in “gate” and music festivals end in “stock”?

2. I’ve never seen a bird suddenly appear. Have you?

3. I wish I was more disappointed that the Twins lost to the Sox. For some reason I didn’t really care.

4. I wish I worked in an Action Office instead of a cubicle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_Office.

5. I just started watching Lost on DVD—Awesome show!

6. I have NFL Sunday Ticket and can testify that the Vikings are by far the most boring team in the NFL.

7. Should McCain’s pick for V.P. cause us to question his decision making ability?

8. My brother killed all of the frogs… on purpose. I killed three chipmunks… by accident… I swear I just wanted to stun them. I used to call them chickmunks. I think I may go back to that some day.

9. I can’t decide what would be worse, water boarding or prison rape.

10. Here’s a great quote by Douglas Adams, “Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”

11. Why do most lists go to ten? I guess God started this trend with his Commandments. I wonder what else David Letterman has in common with God.

12. I think I will put my story back on www.joeycarlson.com this week.

You are getting too political for me. We can't have the entire country talking about these two jerks!!

Hey Joey! It's me - Mrs. Eaton - also known as Pat. I ran into your mom today and she told me about your website. I have been reading stuff on it for about an hour! You really write well - I am proud of you. Your pictures show me that you are growing up to be a very handsome man, not a boy any longer. I agree with that nurse - you might be the best looking guy around!
Do you really not know why things end with "gate" and "stock"? You probably do know, but if you don't - let me know and I will tell you.
I am fine, but getting older by the minute! I don't ride horses any more - too hard on my body. I had 2 more back surgeries 6 years ago and decided then that I probably shouldn't fall off any more horses.
Rod stays busy with his train all summer - we have open house every sunday in June, July and August. This last summer we had about 840 people come over. It's a fun way to have people see the train and my yard full of flowers.
I still go to Pilgrim Lane once a week to tutor a third grade boy. We are not doing the program that your mom helped me with any more, but she sure was a big help when she did it. Everyone appreciated it a lot.
Tomorrow is voting day. Your mom said she wasn't sure who she was going to vote for! I was amazed! I didn't think any one could really be undecided at this point. It's Obama all the way for me. I think of democrats as generous and kind, and republicans as mean and stingy. Dems fund schools and help people out. I hope you vote for Obama.
I hope your job is going well. What else do you like to do beside work and write on your blog? Don't forget if you write more about Courage Center, as you mentioned you might do, to tell about your wonderful second grade teacher who actually helped you to graduate! I still have one of the centerpieces from the fundraiser. I take it out every Christmas!
It's great to read your words. You are made of stern stuff! I don't think I could do what you have done. Pet your cute puppy for me. Maybe I will see you or talk to you again.
Love, Pat

Will you Remember

I read about a couple frogs and a few chipmunks being killed. I seem to remember it a little different. We fished with frog legs and I think their was one "creative" boy who devised the greatest chipmunk trap of all time only to later vow never to use it again.

Did a Kaufman just post on my blog? I don't know if anyone else knows about my diabolical chipmunk trap.
