When I was originally injured, I was told that spinal cord injuries would more than likely be cured in ten years. Well, it's been about eight and a half years and not a heck of a lot has happened. In fact, I recently read an article where they said that they expect a cure in 10-15 years. What have they been doing for the last eight years?
I remember talking to a guy while I was living at Courage Center who told me that he had been injured for 40 years, and they had been talking about a cure ever since his injury. This guy (I forget his name) said that he spent most of his life waiting for a cure. At that point he was convinced that he had spent his entire life waiting for something that he would never see in his lifetime.
Well… I haven't spent very much time thinking about or waiting for a cure, but there are moments when I think, "What if I was cured? How would my life change?"
I had one of those moments today when I read this article. It's a very small glimmer of hope for people like me. Hopefully , if the study is successful, they are able to treat people like me and that old man I met at Courage Center who have had our injuries for a number of years.

I was looking at the stats on my YouTube video "The Watson's Girl Song," and noticed that several random websites were linking to it.
On this website my video is refered to as "creeeeeepy"
And on this one I'm refered to as "the gay guy from Talk soup"
Also on youtube itself it someone wrote the following-
"have you seen her in the new 4th of july commercial? she's got that outfit huggin those tits of hers nice and tight!"
Wow! I've created a monster!
